bloom

A layout created at the recent #e2c2016.

Back in 2011 I drove my kids a round trip of 90kms one day to shoot in a paddock of Patterson's Curse (Salvation Jane). I didn't know the owner of the property but when I knocked on his door and asked if I could go out into his paddock for an hour or so to photograph my kids, he was more than happy to let me go for it.  And as a result this is one of the many pics taken on that occasion.

us

I'm about to run out the door but have 5 mins to post this LO from a Louise Nelson class at the escape2create retreat this last weekend. I used to two complimentary watercolours and just had fun with the process. Now I know now how to stick those rascally micro beads down!
mwah Lou. love it.

purple

Hello. My name is Tiff Firth and I'm a purple addict.      :)

I love us

I started off this LO with the checker plate at a light grey to simulate stainless steel. I didn't rock my socks. It was too harsh.  When I found the polaroid frame with the gold title, I sprayed the grey with gold spray paint. It still looked too strong and dominating.  I thought about using gesso it to reduce the gold but I didn't want to lessen the gold effect, if you know what I mean. Then I thought about using vellum on top of the checker plate. Viola! Problem solved. I sprayed the steam punk cogs while I had the spray out and added some grit with the glass micro beads.

love this moment

This one was a joy to pull together. The background was inspired by Wilna Furstenberg and is a background cut file I adapted to my needs, a combination of Impasto and Whipped Spackle and an acrylic paint wash. Its just divine. The rest of the LO is my own creation.

meant to be

My favourite LO to date. Inspired by Wilna Furstenberg with a Tiff twist. I love it so much for the sentiment as it's exactly me.

'Tired of trying to cram her sparkly star-shaped self into society's beige square holes, she chose to embrace her ridiculous awesomeness and shine like the freaking supernova she was meant to be' - Author Unknown.

Damn, them is powerful words.

tumby holidays - sean

One for Sean's album, chock full of memory triggers to recall our Tumby summer holiday in 2011. I love using templates and creating hybrid LOs. Its quick, neat and templates can fit in so many elements that I just couldn't do with a one photo LO.

swim with the tuna

I wanted to keep the brochure as part of the LO as it has all the info in it and the costings from back in 2011. Its also a great splash of colour. Kerri Bradford has these awesome booklet keepers as a silhouette cut file and it was perfect for my needs.

narigold

Little Miss Narigold. A tiny ray of sunshine in our home. And ps... a whooopsie I'm told by Miss A that I've spelt Narigold's name wrong in the title..... never mind.  The feathers used on the little bird on the right came from Narigold.
