christmas 2013
When the shops start stocking Christmas bits and pieces each year, I take a good look at what I could use for scrapbooking purposes. I'll often collect items immediately after Christmas when they are hugely discounted to use later on. I bought a set of gift tags with an idea in mind and this is how they turned out as interactive layouts with photos and journaling inside each card.
Hope you all had a great Christmas with loved ones, whether that was in real life or by virtual means, in this new covid aware environment.

christmas 2020
Christmas was at home this year to both the kids working in their respective jobs on Christmas eve and Miss A again on Boxing day. We had up my Grandfather, the kids Great Grandfather, for the day. He's 97 so every event with him is special.
We had oysters, yabbies, pork roast with the best crackle, crunchy potatoes and baked asparagus sprinkled with parmesan from the air fryer. I concocted a wreath choc ripple biscuit cake smothered vanilla cream with berries, baileys and mint. It was a winner with the kids requesting to make it again.
A little behind the scenes work paid off beautifully with Grandpa being able to video call his Chris over in England. They've not seen each other since Feb and have had only had email contact since then. So for them to both 'see' each other and talk to each other was a joy to watch before I shut the door and left them too it for the next hour.
A day spent at home with my special people and making memories.

1 to 1 & way to go
It was so good to get in amongst it with my local craft community yesterday. Not everyone scraps anymore. Some have crossed over to the dark side of crochet, drawing and sewing. No matter what craft we do, we are each other's tribe.
We had nearly a 12 hour day of it starting at 1 and finished up around midnight. It was a particularly breezy afternoon and although we could hear the wind we didn't quite fathom exactly how windy it really was. (📸 ABC Eyre Peninsula)
Quite a few of the well established feral pines went over in the wind on Flinders Highway. A mini cyclone must have ripped through there as the trunks were just splintered. There's quite a gap between the pines in that area now.
During the course of the day/night I did this LO, plus another, which I'll show later.
Jane, Karen and I followed up with a most delicious brunch at L'anse next morning.
