Apt timing for this layout as its December, even tho the photo was taken 2011.

The silver snowflake embelly was found in Kmart a couple of years ago, the Merry Christmas was a cake topper, the holly doily in our local IGA last year and the holly leaves in IGA this year. The fine silver mesh was from Cheap As Cheaps a year or so ago.  And the poinsettia is years old from Prima. I use the berries from the hollies to make up the centres of the poinsettias.

The minis coach and I worked on a secret squirrel project during the 2018 footy season with the players. All the kids knew was I had to take a couple of photos of them in their guernsey and an action shot or two.

The coach had the brilliant idea of making footy cards with their own footy photos, their number, their stats and a comment. These cards were presented at the end of the junior season at the Club Junior Count night.

The kids (and parents) LOVED it. 

I must acknowledge and thank Lisa Warner, Meryl Weetra and Kate Hancock who supplied action photos for those players I wasn't able to get. I couldn't have done it without their help.

did you spot the boo boo? I certainly didn't but Mr S did in 10 seconds flat. Can you beat his time and his attention to detail?  I sure failed haha.

do your thing

Something I strive to really instil in my kids is to be different and own it. Don't be a sheep and follow the crowd. Be authentic and do your thing.

I found the Father Christmas embellie in Kmart last year and put it aside for when I do Christmas LO's.  The big beard on it was a perfect tie in for the photo of the LO.

A friend's mare had a month old colt that I asked if the kids could meet. Already Sean and Cash were eyeball to eyeball height. This was taken 7 years ago, and needless to say Cash has longer legs than Sean now.

Gym was a love for you. You could throw yourself around pretty well and the confidence you gained was awesome.

Africa as a photographic destination had been calling me for years and in 2015 I realized that dream. It was everything and so much more. I will be back.

I have to say this is the most prettiest layout I think I've ever made. Cocoa Vanilla Midnight, Vicki Boutin watercolours and a cut file from Paige Evans.

this.... makes my heart ache. Times like these only happen in school holidays now that Annie is away in college. So these times are all the more precious.

Oh Cocoa Vanilla Midnight range has well and truly stole my heart. Picked up the range on Thursday from Scrapworkz in Port Lincoln and by Friday night this layout was done. Cut file adapted from a christmas card file.

So within a blink of an eye she has gone from newborn to 16!

small stuff

sometimes less is more as is the case for this layout. Journaling is on point, no embellishing, a large well constructed title and backing cardstock is all that is needed.
