endless suprises

It's not very often that I do 12x12 layouts as I find the a4 size much more appealing, but when I do its because either there are a lot of photos to record the memories or the journaling of those memories is significant. Sometimes it's both. These his and hers layouts are both. Lots of pics and lots of journaling to be the memory prompts for that weekend of 'endless surprises'.

I often use the memorabilia that I've collected from those occasions either on the layouts (those crunched pennies from the zoo and the fire station wristbands), or if I can't fit them on the front of the layout, then they can be found on the back of the layouts. (zoo and pageant pamphlets)

be you

I found this very appropriate quote on Pinterest and just knew which the photo I'd use with it.  Keeping it clean and simple.

woodwind

A blatant and shameless scraplift of Stefanie Reid 'Grateful' Lo with a little Tiff twist. I like my LO's and embellishments to relate to either the photo or the story and it took me a while to find a link for this photo.

Layout done at the recent Trinity craft weekend away with 30 other like minded creative souls.

The layered trees remind me of bougainvillaea blossoms.

awesome

I've had a 3 day weekend away with other creative crafty souls at Trinity Haven. Lots of laughs, creating, chatting and connecting. It was brilliant to see our creative community together again. It's been too long.

eject

If you're unable to read the small journalling it says 'It took me about 50 shots before I finally got one that I was happy with. My man doing what he does best.

The shell comes out of the barrel so fast it took me a little while to work out the timing of hitting my shutter button to get the shot of the shell being ejected.

P

So this happened last Thursday and as it's Annie's story to tell, not mine, I waited until she had her shout out to the world.

A bit of a backstory to the day just to add a little extra memory to the day she got her P's.  Annie took her final drive with Pete's Driving School (highly recommend) on his last time slot for the day. And she passed. Whaahooo.

We came back to Lincoln on the Friday to go to Service SA to do the required P licensing paperwork so she could exchange the Ls for Ps. We had decided to swap drivers after we went to Woolies fuel to do a bit of roundabout practise when I spotted a SAPOL breatho setting up across the road from us.

Not wanting to terrorise Annie too much by making her pull over into it, we parked the car and walked over for a bit of a chat with the coppers and had Annie have a practise go on the breatho.   0.00    The copper was great. He had a little chat with Annie about speed, the curfew and not to get nervous if a cop car is following her.

Following a bit more roundabout practise she drove me home.

a moment in time

The new Cocoa Vanilla Studio - Unforgettable collection - is divine.  The photos of the kids and my Dad, their Grandpa, are all the more precious now that he's no longer with us. Preserving those memories and stories has taken on an even more significant role my scrapbooking.

captured

Scrapbooking at Trinity Haven is a lot more than scrapbooking.
