gotta love this

Pulled out the white embossing powder and the heat gun for this one. Stash bust with the Melissa Francis frame and buttons. The glossy red hearts are from a kids necklace in the party section at Kmart.

young and brave

I watched Vicki Boutin demo a bubble background and my light bulb flashed brightly. I just knew THE photo I had printed to go with it. I used acrylic paints in a cup with a bit of water and dish detergent and used a straw to blow in the well mixed liquid to create the bubbles. The paper was dabbed on the bubbles and let dry. There's 3 shades of blue and a white bubble layer as the top layer. So much fun. Highly recommend wearing an apron and cover your surrounding areas.

summer days

Sometimes the most unlikely things are the perfect embellishment. The rainbow is a luggage tag from Kmart, the sun is an iron on from Spotlight. Job done.

love

Created for the mono challenge at Cocoa Vanilla Studio International Scrapbook Day Celebrations 2020 over the weekend. Design inspired by Kelly Daye layout on the Paige Evans - Happy Scrappy Place group for their ISD celebrations.

Can't go past the class of white on white.

the story

It was International Scrapbook Day over the weekend, and a few of my favorite places for inspo had 3 days of challenges and fun.  While I didn't actually participate at the time I have lots of catching up to get through so I won't be short of an idea or two for a while.

This one was inspired by the uber talented Tarrah McLean on the Cocoa Vanilla Studio International Scrapbook Day Celebration 2020 group on FB.

so epic

I stepped away from the white cardstock as a base for the background and let rip with offcuts to create the layout.

captured. family moments. happy days. us

Finally finished off the remaining 4 layouts I had left to do from the Cocoa Vanilla scrapbooking cruise that 6 of us went on in February. We were so very lucky with our cruise because that ship's next trip out had a case of Corvid19 virus. We dodged a bullet with our trip. As far as the Corvid19 things certainly ramped up quickly after our trip and I'm so very thankful we all went and we all came home in full health. #blessed

loving every second. happy days. love you. skid kids. so awesome. the good life.

Between an 8 day girls trip away for my birthday which included a 6 night cruise and climbing Sydney Harbor Bridge, Mr S 14th birthday with mates sleeping over, unpacking the suitcase from cruise, washing and repacking ready for the knee replacement surgery, its been hectic.

But I did manage to find the time to finish off these 6 layouts that I had started on the scrapbooking cruise. There's another 3 to do and I'll do them soon, when I'm back from Adelaide after surgery and rehab.

Until then I have these ones for show and tell. The Cocoa Vanilla classes by Zoe Pearn and Raquel Bowman were 12x12 which I adapted for my A4s.

Loving Every Second

Happy Days

Love you

summer days

I've had a summer hiatus away from scrapbooking for about 5 weeks and today I felt the itch again. This one has been sitting on my desk looking at me for a while.  The cut file is from Gwen Wruck (Cut to You) and although the hibiscus's don't really colour coordinate with the kayaks, I couldn't resist them.
