well hello there
This LO was pretty emotionally tough to do. Dad passed away last August and its nearly the anniversary of when he left us. but I am so very very thankful for the photos I have of him with his grandkids.
Dominoes was always played when the kids visited. It was their game of choice.
Thank you Amy for he perfect domino embellishment.

happy
Amy let me know about this amazing paddock of salvation jane (patterson's curse) that she seen because she knew I was looking for one for a photoshoot with my kids back in 2011. (I've just noticed I had 2010 stamped on this LO).
So I packed up the kids one afternoon after school and off we went. And the late light was perfect, it was calm and and warm. And I've had many photos to scrap from this shoot. Gotta love that.

crappy carp
I seem to be leaning more towards templates for my scrapbooking. I guess its because I have a selection of photos for that story/occasion and I can't just settle on one to tell the story. This LO is the perfect example.
I do love printing directly onto linen texture white card to get that canvas look. Lots of white space on this one and that little fish I've had for a looooong time waiting for a fishing LO.

smashing goals
This girl is on such a great ride atm. Moved out of home to college, working out that boarding life is pretty good stuff, smashing her scholastic targets and just loving life.
Man oh man. Are we so proud of this college girl. All we have asked is that she tries her best. And she was rewarded for her efforts in front of her peers at the school assembly when she was awarded 'Outstanding attitude to Study'.
Her school report came home during the holidays, and she could see for herself the rewards for her efforts. She is flourishing into the young adult she is meant to be.
I managed to coordinate a few things together to make it worth coming over to the big smoke on Saturday to catch her first game of school netty and spend Mother's Day with her (as I had MD the week before with the boys by an accidental date mixup).
You keep on trying your best honey. That's all we ask and we are so gosh darn proud of you.

colour tumby street art festival
Colour Tumby have just wound up their Colour Tumby Street Art Festival weekend April 20-22nd.
If you didn't get there over the weekend then get your butts there while the weather is still warm and lovely. You'll be in for a treat.
Mural artist Andrew J. Bourke about to put the teeth detail into his shark mural on the side of Bendigo Bank
Mural Artist Kitt Bennett used a paint by the numbers mural so the public could also have their personal input in the artwork. Front wall along the lawn area near Ritz Cafe & Takeaway
mural artist Lisa King has an exquisite eye and deft touch of the spray can for the detail. Western wall of the SeaBreeze Hotel
mural artist Smug with his snapper on the Blue Basin southern wall. The detail in the scales is beautiful.
mural artist Adnate had the prime real estate spot right inside The Hub during the Wall to Wall art weekend in Tumby. His attention to detail is second to none. Eastern Wall of the Tumby Bay Old Library.
James Pedler, local mural artist, had a lot of attention from the sightseers, watching to see what he created. He more than held is own with his creation on the western wall of the Tumby Bay Old Library.
mural artist James Pedler kindly helped me out with an idea for a photo. Fortunately I had the gentle puff of breeze blowing away from the camera which meant James got a faceful of spray. You're a legend.
mural artist George Rose is the most colourful with beautifully blended background colours to base the Sturt Desert Peas (South Australia's floral emblem) on. George was very ably assisted by Rosii Pedler and the artwork is on the Rec Centre at the Tumby Bay oval.
mural artist Dvate showcasing pelicans on his wall on the eastern side of Neindorf IGA in Tumby Bay. I only shot a small portion has there was a shade shelter erected for the artist covering the rest. I'll come back to this one and reshoot it in its entirety.

milk it
Our neighbour had a milking cow that the kids were invited over to milk. What a grounding experience for the kids. Everyone should milk a cow to learn where milk comes from and that its not magically from a carton at the supermarket.

true story
Every now and then I scraplift myself. I just loved the circles idea and wanted to do it again. So I did.

the horseman from snowy river
I just love printing directly onto linen cardstock for that canvas look to the photos. This is pretty much a digi layout with just a flair button, a wooden veneer and some washi tape to embellish and call it a hybrid.

tumby summer holidays 2012
Summer Holidays are spent in Tumby Bay. Summer at The Bay is swimming, sand, sun and unwinding from life at home. Its our Nirvana. I document our family time with lots of photos and I love to collage them for scrapping to use as many as I can.
I've made a his and hers page with 16 photos each. Like I said, I love to collage.
