so very sorry

I find it very hard to write from the heart. The words do not come easily and it may take me several tries to get it right, but I still cant put what I feel into words.

When I started journaling for this LO it was supposed to be about the joy of scrapping with friends. When I finished writing it had become an apology.

This is also my E2C houndstooth challenge entry but I feel a bit uncomfortable asking the girls to post it there. I would be if I was in their shoes. It's a bit of a pity as this one has turned out so well. Cant go wrong with classic black, white and red.

***edited to add that I have lifted this from Gabriella Baincofiore LO of 'Changes' which is in this months CK***

So I guess I'll post my challenge to them from here via cyberspace. If the E2C team feel ok about it (I know they lurk here *wave*) I'll submit it. If they don't, I wont. No skin off my nose.

Off to watch Twilight DVD. This would be the first time I have sat down to watch a movie since going down to Lincoln with a bus full of ladies to watch Mumma Mia. How long ago was that??? 9 months or so I reckon. sigh..... TV is so not in my life, except for the weather if I am lucky and Spicks and Specks if I remember.

I have an infant photography session tomorrow. Stay tuned for the pics.

:-D

not much imagination to put this one together. Pretty much slapped it down and that's where it all stayed.

:)

Annie likes it, and that's what counts.

The adorable Miss A

I visited Miss A today. Her family has the most amazing bathroom. Its all glass. Including the ceiling. So I had tonnes of natural light for the photo session. I even got a sweat up as it was so warm and cozy. Perfect for Miss A's skin shots so she didn't get cold.
Enjoy your sneak peak Mum and Dad.

This was a sketch challenge at E2C.

I am really pleased how this one turned out.

And yes, that is a real head of oats. Really truely.

reminisce

one for Sean's album. the rubons are a bit of a disappointment. They are lovely but they do disappear on the Kraft card. there is a little blue branch rubon in the left corner. Can you see it??? Squint a bit and you might. lol

oh well. stiff cheese. LO done.
journaling says: The number of days that you and Annie get to spend together all day are numbered. She will start school soon. Take the time to gather the memories so you can reminisce later. 9th October 2007

country girl

oh how I love broadband. We have gone over our monthly limit and it slows to the old dial up pace. It will revert back tomorrow night. yay for that.

Sean is battling another round of asthma. He had a shocking night last night. On the neb every hour or so, so not much sleep to be had, for him, me or Kym. Lots of nebs today, still every hour or so, but we have been able to start stretching the gap in between late this arvo. So I think we are over the hump. Poor little bloke. He tells me his head hurts (headache) and that he has a sore tummy (either needs to go to the loo or from all the coughing). I wish I could take it all away for him, and would gladly suffer it myself rather than him, but all I can do is dose him up and give him lots of cuddles. He is such a little champ. He doesnt whinge, or complain or make a big deal of it. The doc calls him a happy wheezer. I couldnt agree more. Still, I would much rather he not have it at all of course.
And to top it all off , I have the flu bug thats been getting around. Just feel like shit. Throat, nose, aches, shivers, sweats. The works. Hopefully am over the worst of it now. I better be. I have far too much stuff on my plate. I dont have time to be crook.
A LO done last night while waiting in between Sean's nebs.

me day (Mother's day)

Mother's Day here is always a hand wrapped pressie of Tim Tams. This year I was surprised with a photo frame that Dad spotted to reuse. So *wink* Annie chose the three pics to go in it and I was asked to print them out for her. Then I had to promptly forget that I did that. *wink* So I was VERY surprised (hoped it seemed real to her) with the photos today.

This is the only time of year when I have a hot coffee. So I can nibble off two ends of the Tim Tam and suck it up thru. I then take great delight letting the melted choc slide down. Heaven on a stick.

Then the kids and I headed of to Tumby to catch up with Mum on our way to the Hunt. Mum was delighted with the Mirror Photo Book. She said she was even a bit choked up by it (knew she would be). Am so glad she likes it. She reckons its the best thing I have ever made for her. That made me feel really proud. Of me and of Mum.

Off to the Hunt. Didnt ride and didnt get toooo much ribbing about it. Glorious hunt, no falls and 30 riders. Fantastic. Made me feel a bit guilty actually.

Came home after dark and found tea waiting for me. Piping hot. Geez I do just love him.

ps. I am nearly about to go over my Internet quota, so this may be the last post till Wednesday night.

come on back now, ya hear.

mum

Following along the same idea for the 'with u we r 5' mirror book that I made for Paige, I did one for my Mum for Mothers Day. I just know she will love it. She is pink mad so it had to be done with that in mind. And she loves recent photos. Her walls are fairly full, so a brag book with a difference is what popped into my mind.

And it just so happened that I had a little box with a flap that I kept for recycling, fitted perfectly. So with a little altering and a few beads (thanks Gina and Mel) it was done.

Also happens to fit the e2c blog recycle challenge atm.
all in all great timing.

farewell blog

It is with a very heavy heart that I type this. I have posted for the last time on the E2C blog as co author. I would like to stress that this has not been my decision. I wish the new E2C team every success for keeping the dream alive.

I am so looking forward to E2C 10 Retreat. And look out Sandra, Tracey and Zani. I'll be up at the door with my elbows out too.
E2C 10. Bring it on!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

:)

Seriously, it has been such a delight to showcase the awesome local talent that we have here on EP. There have been many wonderful friendships made, and connections with like minded addicts.

Safe to say I will still be there as a blogger a fair bit. Cant get rid of me that easy. And I do believe that I may be around once a month or so with a guest challenge for you.

So thank you Scrappers. Without you there is no blog. And thank you Sue, Meredith and Amanda for helping to bring into the world our Retreat and Blog baby. Hard to believe that its 1.5 years old already.

Thank you from the bottom of my heart

Tiff

ps. seeya on the blog!!!!!!!!

school photos 2007

Fiddled with Photoshop to come up with a negative strip big enough for these photos in this LO of my daughter's school photos.

black Kaiser pearls and a Heidi Swapp ghost frame finish it off nicely.
I have finished a LO of Annie's Kindy's class as well but of course I cant post it as it shows all the kids faces. I dont want to offend any of their parents if they didn't want their child's picture on the www.

bridge

hiya.

a few answers to a few questions.

Kylie. Glamour photography was in town last week. I won a voucher for a photo session, so of course I jumped at that. As I am normally behind the lens I dont have a lot of 'nice' shots of me. Let alone having the hair and war paint done. I had some 'skin' shots done too, but I wont scare you with them lol.

Tiff S. and Sandra. Yep. Gastro all gone from this house of ill. Just me on Saturday, and Annie on Sunday. The first 8 hours are the worst.

Maryanne. I am devouring those books. I am onto Eclipse all ready :)

And yes my name has been taken off the E2C blog as an email contact. I can still post at this stage but am not sure for how much longer :(

Danielle. I am selling Jerry. I havent found the burn to hunt. I frankly just couldnt be bothered. I'll give horses a break for a bit and if Annie shows interest, I'll find a plodder for me so I can ride out with her. I have started getting the word out but thankyou for you very kind thoughts.

A lo for Sean's album. I have at long last caught up to a point where both the kids are about at the same time frame in their photo backlog. One of the reasons why I have been scrapping so madly lately. And I gotta scratch that scrap itch right?...

I grunged it a bit with a Rhonda Farrer digi overlay. So love her stuff.

5 today

Firstly thankyou to the lovely ladies who took the trouble to comment on my question of which pic of Sean to print from the previous post. I reckon I will print both and then see which takes my fancy. Seeing that it is such a noice snap I reckon I'll be making it quite large to really capture his eyes. (and prop scrap both lol)

And as for my hunt escapades.... what an anti climax. I woke up this morning with gastro. So I didnt go anywhere near the hunt. I would like to thank S for collecting the membership monies today on my behalf. I woke up again about 3pm. This bug knocked me for a 6. Felt marginally safe enough to go outside to get some sun on this glorious day. So sad I missed most of it.

next week......

finished this one off late last night.

fiddled with PS, the scanner and the printer to get the actual dates for September of 2007 on it and some other little details. The hibiscus flowers arent as flat as this irl, but at least they scanned without casting shadows.

snap

when I taking pics of Miss G, I had Sean with me. And he loves having his pic taken. (lucky me :D) so he pestered me for a bit and I turned around from Miss G and snapped this one.

and oh my.

so glad I did.

same shot with a bw action and a vintage action.

I really dont know which I love the better.

help please. Then I'll know which to print out.

camera setting E2c challenge

had a play with the TV setting. I have never fiddled with the shutter speed before.

For this shot I had my big bertha lens 75-300mm lens

TV 1/800 (this means it took 1 800th of a sec for the shutter to open and shut to take the shot. The quickest speed my camera is 1/4000.
f/5.6 (this is your field of focus. in otherwords what is in focus and out of focus in your shot

ISO 1600 (I googled to find an explaination. ( In Digital Photography ISO measures the sensitivity of the image sensor. - the lower the number the less sensitive your camera is to light and the finer the grain. Higher ISO settings are generally used in darker situations to get faster shutter speeds (for example an indoor sports event when you want to freeze the action in lower light) - however the cost is noisier shots.Read more:

pretty cool how u can see the craters and the dead seas on the surface hey

the second shot had these settings.

lens 1:1.8mm
TV 1"3
ISO 200
f/100
