Hi Tiff, here are a couple of slow cooker recipes that I use.
SWISS STEAK,
2kg steak diced
half cup plain flour
2 teaspoons salt
1 teaspoon pepper
2 onions sliced or diced
2 capsicums sliced or diced
2 stalks of celery
2 carrots diced (if you want)
2 tablespoons worcestershire sauce
2 x 425 cans tomato soup
put flour in a plastic bag with 1 teaspoon salt & half teaspoon pepper put steak into bag and toss around once steak is coated tip the bags contents into slow cooker
add chopped vegetables, worcestershire sauce, remaining salt & pepper add tom soup cook on low 7-10 hours or high for 4 hours. I add a bit more pepper and worcestershire sauce cause I like a little bit of spice

Hi Tiff, it is me again.
Here is my recipe for corned beef
2 bay leaves
1 large onion sliced
3 strips of orange peel
4 whole cloves
2 litres of water
2-2.5kg corned beef
put bay leaves, onion, orange peel cloves, and water into slow cooker give it a stir add corned beef with the fat side facing up cook on low for 8-10 hours or high for 5-6 hours. These times for both recipes are only an estimate.

By the way there isnt anything wrong with Nikon (wink, wink)
Good luck with your book. Alison
