I'm going thru the pics from my Birthday weekend. We dressed in 80's style (I was Michael Jackson albeit the pale version), we had Cyndi Lauper, lots of hairspray (Maryanne's up-swept do was impressive), gel, big hoop earrings, big hair, ripped jeans, leather jackets, fingerless gloves, hair bands, and even a couple of 80 year olds joined us. (waves to Prudence and Dot 'with the Lot'). We belted it out with Amy's Sing star, and lots of 80's songs on the docked ipod that Sandra was such a help with. Janice should wear her up hair that way more often. And it was great to see Laura fit in so very well!!

Man, you girls had trigger shutter fingers. As I was not being a responsible person I left my camera at home, but I had no need of it as I think there was 5 or 6 cameras there      =-]

We made an agreement that there was to be no blogging or Facebooking any pics without that person's prior consent. I've seen far too many party pics that have put 'out there' that embarrassingly should have never seen the light of day.

The back story : unbeknownst to me, the girls really struggled to find anything that would be meaningful to me. I had absolutely no idea that I was difficult to gift for. Upon reflection, Kym struggles too. Gina had a absolutely cracker of an idea and organised the girls.

I'm going thru all the pics from all the cameras and compiling them on a disc for the girls. I've just come across this image on from Lou's camera and I just had to share it.

You girls have so touched me. Its perfect. I wear it on my heart every day. I see people notice it, ask about, and really admire it.

Gina found it at Vintage Pearl. I know of one other lady who has seriously looked at the www with her mother in mind with all the grand-kids names on a couple of rings.

Thank you you special ladies. I am so very lucky to have you in the tapestry of my life.

Big special thanks and love to Paige and Lou who travelled over from Adelaide specially for the weekend, the girls who chose to celebrate with me on our weekend rather than go out the weekend before (touchy DH's) and for always being there lending me a hand with my kids when I need one.
